When the line fully opens in 2019, Crossrail will run to Reading. For the maximum benefit, you will be able to combine the First Great Western service to Paddington with the Crossrail service and achieve the following approximate journey times:

  • Reading to Paddington – 26 minutes
  • Reading to West End (Bond Street) – 30 minutes
  • Reading to City (Liverpool Street) – 36 minutes
  • Reading to Canary Wharf – 44 minutes

WRLtH (Western Rail Link to Heathrow)

  • 4 direct trains per hour
  • 200,000 fewer car journeys
  • A boost to the local economy and up to 12,000 new jobs
